The Mid-Missouri Solid Waste Management District and the City of Columbia’s Office of Sustainability are hosting a Fix-it Fair on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Friends Room at the Columbia Public Library, 100 W. Broadway.
Fixing items can help conserve resources, reduce waste and save money! Residents can learn how to fix items such as torn clothing, malfunctioning electronics, squeaky bikes and broken small appliances. Expert volunteers will be on hand to assist with repairs and share helpful knowledge necessary for fixing everyday items. Residents are limited to one item that can be carried in. No microwaves or CRT monitors.
Contact Lelande Reharde at [email protected] or (573) 817-6422 with information on what items need repair or to inquire about volunteering.
