Ahmad Alkadah left Syria and came to Columbia 12 years ago. A refugee 6,500 miles from his war-torn hometown of Daraa, he is now providing a taste of his culture at the only restaurant in Columbia that serves fresh Syrian food. All their produce is locally grown and sourced, and the meat is purchased from a vendor in Kansas City. Visit them for shawarma, kabab, falafel, hummus and more--all halal.
