We had long advocated for the north-south running MKT-Parkade Bike Boulevard and the east-west spur along Austin St. to Hickman High. In addition to creating a connection to the MKT Fitness Trail through several neighborhoods, this initiative gave us a much-needed pedestrian crossing on the west end of the Business Loop.
In anticipation of the construction, we installed a bike repair station at Parkade Plaza with the help of the Columbia Board of REALTORS®, their local agents, and volunteers with ForColumbia. Now cyclists on the MKT-Parkade Bike Boulevard have a place to rest and fill their tires. Extra tools are also available inside Parkade Plaza, room #128.
