The goal of our Maker City Economic Development Plan is to fosters local, small-scale manufacturing as a way to revitalize The Loop and create new economic opportunities. We introduced our regular Maker Workshops--usually done in cooperation with one of our three shared spaces on the street--as a way to help start-up businesses by sharing expertise on issues such as marketing, product photography, permitting, branding and more.
We're now filming these workshops and putting them on YouTube to reach a wider range of makers, cooks, artisans, and other small businesses.
