We knew major infrastructure changes on the street would take several years to coordinate so until then, we decided to take a DIY approach to beautification. We created a toolkit of environmental graphics which reflects our brand and the vibe of the street and then bought about 20 cans of brightly colored paint.
Our graphics aren't just being used in public space signage, we now have colorful art brightening up boring stretches of sidewalk near our Pop-Up Park and Bike Repair Station. Volunteers recently painted graphics on the sidewalks near the crosswalks so pedestrians can locate safe places to cross.
