The City has also received a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant to complete a Road Safety Audit of the Business Loop 70. This will allow us to take a deeper dive into the current issues with safe travel--cars, pedestrians, and bikes--along the corridor and make some detailed recommendations for proven safety measures that can be incorporated into the larger plan.
Some of these recommendations will have to wait until we start rebuilding the street but others, like signal improvements, we may be able to fund and implement sooner.
CBB Engineering, the lead firm on this project, is anticipating a public input meeting on the evening of Thursday, October 9. It's tentative but get the date on your calendar now. And of course, there will be opportunity for input on the City's BeHeardCoMo site.
