Business Loop Survey Now Live

Cars driving past the original McDonald's on Hwy 40 in the 1960s.

The Loop has always been known for cool cars and fast food. Unfortunately, it’s also been known for overhead utility lines and a lack of sidewalks. Great news though—we’ve got a chance to fix some of these problems while keeping the things we’re famous for. (Although we suspect 15 cent burgers are gone for good).

Last week we partnered with the City of Columbia to host our first public input session for the new $2 million Reconnecting Communities Grant and big thanks to everyone who came and chatted with us. The consulting team presented some images to test the vibes we’re looking for, a range of street configuration options for folks to review, and bunch of street maps for everyone to comment on. They’ll take all this information and use it to revise and refine a plan for the Business Loop.

Missed the meeting? Don’t worry. The presentation boards from the meeting are on the City of Columbia’s BeHeard page along with a survey to fill out.
