Garth Bridge Slide Update

• The I-70 traffic switch at Garth did not occur last night due to rain. Instead, westbound traffic will be switched to the eastbound bridge beginning at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17. The switch will require one lane of I-70 in each direction to be closed until 5 a.m. on Wednesday.
• The Garth bridge slide will start at about 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18.
• In addition, the westbound I-70 on-ramp at Providence will be closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday, and Garth Avenue at I-70 will be closed from 9 p.m. on Tuesday to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. 
• All work is weather permitting.
