Public Hearing on Property Assessment Rate

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE BUSINESS LOOP COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
PROPERTY ASSESSMENT RATE

Notice is hereby given of a public hearing before the Board of the Business Loop Community Improvement District, to be held during their Annual Meeting at their offices at 601 Business Loop 70 W #128, Columbia, Missouri, on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. to give all citizens and interested parties an opportunity to be heard in relation to setting of the special assessment rate based on the value of real property for the Business Loop Community Improvement District for 2017 to fund the District’s FY 2018 Annual Budget.

Be further notified that the assessed valuation by category of real and other tangible property in the Business Loop Community Improvement District for FY2018 for which the 2017 special assessment rate is to be levied as follows:

Real Estate (total assessed) $13,556,619

Real Estate (new construction) $576,544

Be further notified that the assessed valuation by category of real and other tangible property in the Business Loop Community Improvement District for the preceding taxable year (2016 tax year) is as follows:

Real Estate (total assessed) $12,119,593

Real Estate (new construction) $    29,456

Be further notified that the amount of revenue required to be provided from the property tax to satisfy the revenue requirements of the proposed Business Loop Community Improvement District FY 2018 Annual Budget is as follows:

TOTAL $54,644

Be further notified that the special assessment rate proposed to be set for the 2017 Business Loop Community Improvement District property assessment is 0.4778 cents per $100 assessed valuation. This represents no change in assessment rate.
