Beginning early on the morning of July 27, construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close the on-ramp from Providence Road to westbound I70. This is the on-ramp on the north side of I70.
This closure is expected to remain in place for several months. The off-ramp from westbound I70 to Providence Road closed on May 29 and is expected to remain closed throughout the construction of the new bridge.
During that time, drivers will need to use an alternate route to access westbound I70, such as Rangeline to the east. For local non-truck traffic, bikes, or pedestrians seeking to cross I70 on surface streets, we recommend Garth to the west. And remember, if you want to avoid the backed-up left turn lane off of Business Loop onto Rangeline, West Blvd. is another option for accessing I70.
The two eastbound ramps are open at this time but they are expected to close sometime this summer.
Motorists are advised to slow down, use extra caution, and follow posted signs and traffic control devices. All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change.
