You may have noticed the artwork popping up along the Business Loop and it's all part of our vision for a more attractive and appealing street--and one that celebrates and supports local makers and artisans.
The Loop Street Art Project selected 10 local artists and graphic designers, gave them a 4' x 8' canvas, and told them to let their imaginations run wild. A rainy month slowed us down a bit but now that the sun is shining, our team is out installing the boards. We're placing them in locations you can see from a car but also where you can pull up, see the artistry up close, and even take a selfie!
We're putting together an online guide to the pieces, the artists, and how their design reflects The Loop. Right now though, check out our Loop Project Map for locations.
The Street Art Project is part of our Loop Corridor Plan, a 10-year plan to improve and beautify the street. Read more about our plan at theloopcomo.com/build and stay tuned for updates as we install more Street Art.
