Since we began the process of establishing the Community Improvement District we’ve seen widespread community support for our organization and for the improvements we hope to make to the Business Loop. We thank everyone for their support yesterday and we’ll be calling on you all to help us bring meaningful change to a street that has been neglected for decades.
Over the past few months, we’ve worked on several key projects in line with our mission and now we have the opportunity to finally see some catalytic changes come to The Loop. The City of Columbia, the University of Missouri, and MODOT have been key partners in our efforts and we look forward to that continuing.
Although we have some key priorities that we all agree on--making The Loop more attractive, accessible, and safe--we will continue and expand the public input process to find out what your vision of The Loop is.
We believe Columbia can’t be a truly great city if one part of it is being forgotten. We're pleased that The Loop finally has a chance to shine.
