Our new park at 807 Business Loop 70 East is now open to the public!
The lot will be open daily from 9 am to 7 pm so people can come for lunch or to meet friends after work.
The park also has a full complete of amenities for events including moveable furniture, cornhole, giant Jenga, giant dominos, nighttime lighting, and a shipping container that can be used as a stage (and we're working on electricity as we speak).
We want the community to use this lot so we are in the process of creating an online application so people can reserve the space for events. The Loop CID Board will be reviewing general guidelines at the meeting on May 16 at 8 am so we'll keep you posted on how to apply.
One note on pets: We love dogs but we also understand dogs. If dogs start marking the astroturf, we won't have a clean space for kids to play games. So please, no pets.
We have a 6 month temporary permit from the city for the Community Pop Up Park will be open throughout the warm weather months. Boone Electric will keep all the infrastructure in place over the winter so we hope to reapply with the city next spring.
